Web Applications

As the presentation diagram clearly shows, each of the subsystems is a web application presenting a consistent interface to the user.  The fact that this applications are all web based applications is, in our belief a prime factor for choosing our solution.  Web integration and the ability to perform the functions of the system over a web connection is a key and core component as it indicates the current and future trend in ICT technology use in general and specifically to higher institutes of education.   Web applications open up greater, easier and more versatile ways of using systems as opposed to client/server applications in terms of geographical distribution and ease of deployment.  This was the primary reason why we chose to develop and integrate our systems as web technologies
