The course development aspect focuses
on designing and creating course content to be delivered through
e-learning. The course development aspect for e-learning is different
from paper based distance education or class room based courses
because the content can be made interactive and instructive by
employing various features of ICT technology including video,
audio, graphics, animations and interactive programs. The course
development must take into account the precise need of the student
and the instructor and provide the solution employing the aforementioned
technologies. Through these interactive elements students not
only read or view content but they also interact through automatically
graded self assessment quizzes that can be presented in novel
ways, virtual experiments, visual display of 3D objects etc.
Eruxelf, understanding the unique
importance of e-learning for Ethiopia, has been working on the
development of courses for e-learning for the past three years.
We have been investigating, researching and developing courses
as well as the learning management system and we feel that we
have a lot to provide to you.
Unlike traditional distance education
the course materials can include animations and virtual experiments.
Eruxelf develops courses using the
SCORM standard with reusable and customizable modules. So far
has developed various courses to be used by universities in the
areas of physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, management,
and accounting. We have also developed an English training module
for trainee pilots.
